Goat Health Related

Washington State University Lab :: WADDL is where we mail off our blood for disease testing. Information on the lab, diseases, and forms to mail in your own are on the website.

Mineral we use and recommend :: Right Now Onyx mineral is what we have been using for our goats and highly recommend!

Dairy Pellets :: This is the pellet we feed all our pregnant and milking does.

Buck and wether :: This is the blue bag, if you can find the red bag, even better! The only difference is blue is medicated and red bag is not.
Both contain ammonium chloride to help prevent stones.
This is the feed we recommend all our wether homes get!

Replamin :: This is a supplement we recommend to be used monthly on all goats, or at minimum for pregnant and milking does or after an illness.

Selenium and E gel :: This is the selenium supplement we give all babies at birth and all does 30 days before kidding.

Copper Bolus :: This is the copper bolus we use.
Breeding does are given 1 4gram bolus every 6 months and bucks 1 4gram bolus once a year.
Any goat over 50lbs is given copper here.

Colostrum supplement :: This is a colostrum additive, not a replacement.
We mix this in with colostrum from the goats dam at birth and feed the first 2 days.
This helps prevent ecoli.

CD Antitoxin :: Antitoxin used in the prevention of enterotoxemia (overeating disease) caused by Clostridium perfringens types C & D in cattle, sheep and goats and in swine when caused by type C.

THIS IS AN EMERGENCY MUST HAVE
